Eager Beavers

            Our seniors join together for a special covered dish dinner, delightful program, and inspirational program once each month. The Eager Beavers group is open to people in the community as well and Beaver Dam Baptist Church members. Special prayer needs are expressed at the meetings, and members of the group diligently minister to all in the group.

            Eager Beaver dinner meetings are held at 6 PM in the fellowship hall on the third Tuesday of each month. In addition to these times the group usually meets with a neighboring church, Salem Baptist, two times each year in June or July and in October.

            The “travel” committee helps make arrangements for several travel events during the year. Past trips include regular visits to Cumberland County Playhouse and Barter Theater and several trips to the Sevierville-Pigeon Forge area for different programs. In addition, some members have joined with other adults in the church for longer travel excursions to Gettysburg and Williamsburg for sightseeing, historical knowledge, and fellowship.

            The Eager Beavers join with the Silvertones (senior adult choir) and a benefactor to provide a banquet for shut-ins at the beginning of the Christmas season. They are also active in ministering to other church members in need.

Silvertones

           This is truly a great energetic group focused on fellowship, singing with energy and spirit and sharing with enthusiasm.  They lead in worship on several occasions during the year and usually present complete musical programs twice yearly.  The group is open to all, regardless of musical background.
