Martha’s Ministry
The purpose of Martha's Ministry is to provide a meal for the family of a deceased church member.
The ladies of Martha's Ministry will deliver to their home, a complete catered meal for the bereaved family and their guests. This can take place before the receiving of friends or before or after the burial. The menu for Martha's Ministry meal is fixed, providing a meat, 3 vegetables, rolls, desserts, drinks, and paper products.
The ladies of Martha's Ministry desire to be able to provide this service to every family who experiences the loss of a loved one. However, it may not be possible to provide a meal during the following holidays: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day because volunteers may not be available at those times.
If you would like to volunteer with this ministry, contact the church office. You will be blessed by serving in this ministry as we reach out in love and compassion to those in our church family who are hurting.
Lord, give me sensitivity to people in their grief and pain, to weep with them and show your love in ways that mere words cannot attain.
