First day of Parents Day Out!

Open House drop in from 9:00am-11:30am come meet your child's teachers and see their classrooms!

Tuesday, May 23rd is the last day of school at Parent’s Day Out for this school year.

Pizza Party & End of the School Year Celebration Day! Please send in $2.00 to your child’s teacher. A sign-up sheet will be posted outside the door of each classroom for other items needed for the party. 

The last day of school is not until May 23rd

Thursday, May 2nd is Fun Day for all classes. Your child will enjoy Fun Day outside playing a variety of games and eating a special treat. Please plan accordingly for your child. Let your child wear comfortable play clothes and apply sunscreen before coming to school. In case of rain, Fun Day will be rescheduled for the next school day.

Wednesday March 1st from 9am to 12pm and 5:30pm to 7:30pm is PDO registration for BDBC church members.

Tuesday, February 14th - We will celebrate Valentine’s Day by having a party! All classes will have pizza for lunch. 

Please send in $3.00 to your child’s teacher to cover the cost of pizza.

A sign-up sheet will be posted outside of their classroom door for other items needed for the party. Please check with your child’s teacher for details about sending Valentines for classmates. 

If for any reason school is closed, due to weather or illness, the Valentine’s party will be rescheduled for the next school day in session.

January 10th - First Day of PDO after break

Nov 24th - No PDO - Thanksgiving

All ages will enjoy a fun reptile show from our own Ms. Stacey including a bearded dragon, crested gecko, leopard gecko, Pac Man frog and red footed tortoise.

This day will be filled with lots of fun teddy bear activities from crafts to snacks. We suggest that each child bring in one favorite teddy bear to share in their classroom during carpet time.

Gingerbread day

• We will be reading stories, eating gingerbread cookies and doing other related activities for Gingerbread Day.

Snowman Day

• For Snowman Day, we will make this a special day by eating Snow Cream frozen dessert bars and doing snow related crafts and activities.  

Lion’s Club Vision Screening

• Free vision screening will be offered to your child by the Lion’s Club in conjunction with the Tennessee Lions Eye Center at Vanderbilt hospital.  This is a non-invasive photo-screening that can detect most problems that cause poor vision in young children. A consent form will be sent home next week that must be filled out in order for your child to participate in this screening.  Even if your child participated in the screening last year, they are still eligible to do so again this year.

Tuesday, November 16th - Zoo Knoxville’s Zoomobile will be here. All ages will enjoy the show- “Feathered Friends” starring Einstein.

Thursday, October 28th – On Orange and White day, please dress your child in orange and white for school on this day.  Our whole day will be centered around orange and white activities, including crafts and snacks.  Toddlers through Five’s will have pizza for lunch on this day.  Please send in $2.00 to your child’s teachers to cover the cost of pizza.  A sign-up sheet will be posted outside of your child’s classroom with items needed for the party.
